Special full moon event on the 3rd of January 2026

On January 3rd, 2026, we welcome the first full moon of the new year, widely known as the "Wolf Moon." We invite you to a primal Railbiking adventure in Megara—a night dedicated to the untamed spirit of the winter wilderness and the ancient traditions of Europe and North America.

Rooted in folklore, this moon’s name echoes a time when wolves would approach settlements through the deep snow, their howls piercing the long, cold nights. As we pedal along the historic rails of Megara, we immerse ourselves in this same mysterious atmosphere. Guided by the silvery glow of Artemis, the Lunar Huntress, we journey through a landscape transformed by light and shadow, where the rhythmic click of the wheels meets the stillness of the January frost.

This once-a-year event is more than a tour; it is a connection to the natural cycles that have guided humanity for centuries. It is a moment of endurance, reflection, and renewal—a "call to the pack" to start the year with strength. Join us for an unforgettable passage under the Wolf Moon, where the boundary between legend and nature fades beneath the brilliance of the night sky.

What to bring

To ensure you enjoy the mystical atmosphere without the bite of the January cold, we recommend the following:

    • The "Onion" Layering Method: Wear multiple layers. A moisture-wicking base layer, a warm fleece or wool mid-layer, and a windproof/waterproof outer shell. You will get warm while pedaling but cool down quickly when you stop to admire the moon.
    • Gloves are Essential: We strongly recommend insulated or windproof gloves to keep your fingers nimble and warm.
    • Headwear: A warm beanie or headband that covers your ears is a must.
    • Sturdy Footwear: Wear closed-toe athletic shoes or hiking boots with warm socks. Avoid thin sneakers if possible.
    • Small Backpack: To store layers as you shed them during the physical parts of the tour.
    • A Camera/Phone: The Wolf Moon over the Megara landscape is a sight you'll want to capture!
    • Allergy medication if you have any
